Great idea...

I am Peter Hofman, 39, married to Monique and we have a nearly two year old boy Colin. Hooked on diving (allthough more of a nice weather diver by now) Got my commercial diving license at Plymouth, but am still a systems egineer with a computer company. I live in the netherlands between Amsterdam and Schiphol airport (easy for the hollidays ) We also have two aqauriums with cichlids from lake malawi. I got to know the U-47 during a diving trip to scapa flow. I was very impressed about the way it sunk HMS Royal Oak and started to find out more about it. So I ended up here...

Peter

Edit: forgot to mention where I got my nickname. Triggerfish are one of my favorites and also a trigger is something that happens in a database when something is updated

Edit: Just reread my post again and noticed the part of sinking HMS Royal Oak was a bit meaningless... So I changed it to what it is now.

Great idea Martin - I know loads of people have visited, and it would be nice to hear a bit about each other. Most of you would have read the bio on the main site, but here goes...

I'm Rick, and I am 33 years old. I live in North-West London with my girlfriend Caroline and our two children, the cats Withnail and Oliver. I am a professional web developer with my own company, and I have worked on and built websites for a number of different clients. My main passion however is WW2 history, as if some of you haven't guessed!

My interest in U-47 came about as a result of my general interest in those who had performed particularly exceptional feats during WW2. Prien of course is one of these, as well as Michael Wittmann who features in u47.org's sister site. At the moment I am planning a similar site on Luftwaffe ace Hans-Joachim Marseille.

So, the skipper has spoken - let's be seeing you!
