Hello all

I bought the Revell model today...actually I put it aside a few weeks ago at my favourite model shop because it was missing its instructions.  The shopowner managed to get a faxed copy, which is not too clear.  Does anyone out there have a PDF version of the instructions, as I don't want to start construction without a clear and legible set of 'papers'.  Any help would be appreciated.  I live in Durban, South Africa.  I loved the site.  I have the director's cut of "Das Boot" on DVD.  Any more like that around?  "U-571" (I also have it) seemed too "Hollywoodish" and in any case was fictional.

Hi Graeme, and welcome to the boards!

I have the same Revell kit - unbuilt as yet, the shame! I could scan in the instructions, create a PDF from them and email it you. Alternatively I can send you a set of scans. Drop a line back on here or in a PM, we'll get you building in no time.

Of course, when you are done you can let us all see your creation on here!

Cheers
Rick

Many thanks Rick, I will appreciate a scanned copy on PDF.  My email is graeme@exmile.co.za

When do you intend building yours?  Sorry to say I haven't built a model in years, so I'm kind of looking forward to the challenge.

Once again, many thanks for the offer re instructions.

Graeme

Hello Rick

Started that Revell model yet?  I would love to take you up on that offer of the scanned instructions in PDF.

BTW I will be in the UK in June (central London).  I heard that there is a U boat on the Thames.  Is this true.  I would love to get on board and have a close look.

Regards

Graeme

Hi Graeme!

Sorry, have been busy with real paid work! The U-47 kit is in a storage box on top of a wardrobe, I have to go fish it out first. I'll then scan them in for you. I have some time off this week, maybe then I'll get my arse into gear!

You live in sunny Durban, and choose to holiday in London? Some people!

Cheers!
Rick

Hello English Sniper

I managed to get the instructions.  Trouble was....when I got the instructions, I then discovered that the decals were missing.  I finally managed to get them, so now I have everything!  Looking forward to getting started.  My wife goes for a 3 week holiday in London in 2 weeks, so while she is there I will get stuck into the model.

Many thanks for the message.  BTW do you have the Battle of Britain DVD?  I bought it at HMV during my visit to London in June.  Beautiful movie!

Regards

GraemeB

Hi Graeme

Just to check - did you get the instructions from somewhere else, or did my email get through? I sent it a few weeks back but got no reply...

Cheers
Rick

Hello Rick

I never got the e-mail.  I bugged the shopowner, who eventually got a photocopy (readable) and subsequently the decals.

Sorry about that.  I would appreciate you re-sending them, as they might have some more info not clear on the Xeroxed copy.  My e-mail is graeme@exmile.co.za

Many thanks

Graeme
