   Is a new boardgame due to be released later this year. It's a solitaire game based on the game Silent War, Silent War is about the US submarine fleet in the Pacific during WW2. Steel Wolves is a solitaire game covering U-boats in the Atlantic. Silent Wars is selling for $75.00 US. I imagine Steel Wolves will be about the same price. Here is where you can check this game out;

                         www.compassgames.com

    Just scroll down the page and you'll find it. Pretty expensive but it's solitaire, which is great if you're like me and 'live' opponents are very few and very far between.

Pretty in-depth, mate. Thanks for the link... couple interesting things there. This could become a costly visit to that site.

 Hi Pavel

         Good to see you. Yes I know what you mean, not only 'Steel Wolves' but 'Bitter End' and 'Red Storm over the Reich' look pretty interesting also. Do you like board games?

Yeah, when I've got the time to play a boardgame there's nothing better. Something about being able to reach across the board and smack my opponent for whatever reason that a computer just can't replicate.

Well... not for a few more years, anyways.

   Time is key, I have a couple of boardgames that take at least an hour of set-up alone. Then twenty plus hours to play, then I have to leave the board set-up and worry about the cat doing his own blitz attack on the board.

Yeah, precisely. In one long game (Took 3 days. We played 12 hours each day.) we had to take photographs of the board every two hours in the event of the cat attempting a "Flying Column" march to the centre of the board.
